IPhone factory in Cikande Would Production of 10 million Units/year

Jakarta -technology companies from Taiwan Foxconn Technology Group will aggressively build its plant in Cikande, Serang, Banten. In July 2013, Foxconn will be producing 10 million smartphones per year.

"It will start production around Foxconn December 25, 2012. The initial production capacity reaching 3 million units per year, and smartphone soon on phase II adds production capacity reaches 10 million units per year, "said Gita in Jakarta, Monday (19/8/2012).

Gita says, in phase II, Foxconn will increase the area of 400 square meters factory up to 1,000 square meters capacity again, so its production is expected to reach 10 million units per year.

"The first stage of the Foxconn factory in Cikande will establish (Modern Cikande Industrial Estate) on top of 5,000 square meters of land in October 2012 and begin production on December 25, 2012. The second phase in June 2013 added 400 to 1000 square meters of more, "she said.

To arrive at this stage, estimated at Foxconn investment fund will issue $ 5bn-US $ 10 billion.

As known, Foxconn Technology Group is a company manufacturing Taiwan originating in producing electronic components for some of the famous brands like Apple and Nokia.

ModernCikande Industrial Estate (MCIE) became a strong candidate location Foxconn factory development. Today's plan is the Foxconn will decide whether these locations became the location of their factories.

Foxconn will use 5,000 square meters of land for their HP assembly plant. Foxconn will buy with an area of 4000 meters factory and the production was renovated in the ModernCikande Industrial Estate.
